We had our first "from the garden" meal of the year today. We used chicken we raised and peas, potatoes and rosemary straight from the garden. Served with apple juice we made and canned last fall. It was a "Chicken Vesuvio" recipe from Cook's Country Magazine, and the pictures don't do it justice--it was delicious!!

That looks great! Doesn't it feel awesome to know where each ingredient came from...start to finish? I love that! I can't wait for fresh new potatoes...they just can't be beat! Taste totally different from the store bought ones.
You beat me to the punch! I have been trying to upload pics from our dinner from Friday nite - we had a meal made all from the gardening (seasoning and all). The only thing store bought was the meat, b/c well...you know me. ;-) It feels nice though to have a REAL homemade meal.
